R.U.M.® is a by-product of nature in liquid form. It is rich in natural nitrogen (avg. 15% N) and good nitrogen fixing bacteria. The key to it's success is the 190,000CFU/ml bacteria plus ready available liquid minerals and trace elements for immediate plant uptake.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. How is R.U.M. applied?
R.U.M. can be applied at any time in wet or dry conditions, is safe and easy to use. It is applied through a boom or any spray equipment. Farmers have reported using it as plant food/wetter combined with herbicides and insecticides with very good results. Also very effective as a seed dress for all types of seeds, R.U.M. promotes germination.
2. How is R.U.M. mixed and at what rates?
R.U.M. can be used from 2 litres to 15 litres per hectare depending on requirements. It's preferred to use 100 litres of water in your boom per hectare for better coverage, but this can be reduced if necessary, e.g. 30 litres of water per hectare when aerial spraying. As a seed dress R.U.M. is applied at 4 litres of R.U.M. per tonne of seed mixed with water, if required, to suit your method of application.
3. Why does pre-sowing application of R.U.M. help?
R.U.M. stimulates the microbial activity in the soil, giving a healthy environment for the crop or pasture to be sown. Bacteria and microbes help in the uptake of nutrients from the soil and atmosphere, free of charge. The increased microbial activity in the soil aids the release of "locked up" nitrogen and other nutrients, thus helping the development of a vigorous root system in your crop.
4. Why does seed dressing help?
R.U.M. coats the seed with nitrogen and bacteria, giving the seed a kick start when germinating.
5. Why does foliar spraying with R.U.M. help?
R.U.M. applied at the "early tillering" and "boot" stages helps to top up the crop with readily available nitrogen and trace elements. When applying nitrogen rich R.U.M. as a foliar spray the loss of valuable "N" from the foliar application to the atmosphere and leaching is virtually non-existent. Farmers say that using R.U.M. in conjunction with fertilizers (chemical and mineral) helps in the with release of the N.P.K. etc, thus a better value from these products, less leaching and lockup.
6. What is our suggestion to grow a high yielding and high protein crop?
1. Use 3 to 5 litres per hectare of R.U.M. direct onto/in seed bed or with your pre-emergent spray.
2. Seed dress with R.U.M. 4ml R.U.M. per kg seed plus water, if required, to suit application method.
3. If required use R.U.M. at 3 - 5 litres per hectare with post-emergent spray or simply as a top up.
4. Use a portion of your current fertilizer program, if applicable, when sowing.
7. What are our suggestions for pasture?
1. Apply 5 lts per hectare of R.U.M.
2. Apply an additional 3 lts per hectare after 6 weeks
8. What are the benefits of using R.U.M. again?
a) that the major/secondary/and trace elements are immediately available because of their dissolved state, and
(b) R.U.M.'s high bacteria count, upon application, immediately innoculates the soil, kick starting microbial activity helping to break down organic matter much quicker. Thus increasing plant growth, soil aeration, moisture absorption, a healthier soil.

A typical R.U.M. sample has all of this in it.
